How the Clothing Size Converter Works
AnyTool Clothing Size Converter is chart-based rather than formula-based, because the US, UK and EU number lines start at different offsets, the International alpha scale (XS–XXL) spans several numbers, and the scales themselves differ for women, men and children. The tool stores real conversion rows for each category — and for men, separate charts for tops (sized by chest) and trousers (sized by waist) — where every row carries its body-measurement range in centimetres. When you enter a size in any system it locates the matching row and shows the equivalent in every other system, plus the bust/chest, waist and hips that size corresponds to. Body measurement is the anchor because clothing sizing is not standardised: brands vary, and “vanity sizing” has shifted the numbers over time, whereas a centimetre is fixed.
- Four systems: US, UK, EU and International alpha (XS–XXL)
- Separate real charts for women, men and kids — they differ
- For men, tops are sized by chest and trousers by waist
- Every row carries bust/chest, waist (and hips) in centimetres
- All conversion runs in the browser — no server round-trip
