How the Frequency Converter Works
AnyTool Frequency Converter performs every calculation in the browser. Each unit declares a single linear factor relative to a shared hertz base — the exact number of hertz in one of that unit — so any unit converts to any other through hertz without an N-by-N table. The factors are the standard definitions: a kilohertz is exactly 1000 Hz, a megahertz 1,000,000 Hz, a gigahertz 10⁹ Hz, a terahertz 10¹² Hz, a millihertz 10⁻³ Hz, a revolution per minute exactly 1/60 Hz, a revolution per second 1 Hz, a degree per second 1/360 Hz, and a radian per second 1/(2π) ≈ 0.159155 Hz. A value is multiplied to hertz and then divided into the target unit.
