Increase image file size to meet minimum upload requirements
Open your image in Increase Image Size, pick a target such as 50 KB, 200 KB or 1 MB (or type any size from 1 to 50,000 KB), and download. A JPG is padded with invisible comment data and stays a JPG with the same pixels; other images are saved as PNG. It runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

A JPG keeps its format and its width and height; only its size in KB changes. If the portal also asks for exact pixel dimensions, resize the photo first, then increase the KB.
A JPG that is already at or above the target comes back unchanged. Check the portal's maximum size too: many forms set both a minimum and a maximum.

For a JPG, the default Smart method inserts invisible JPEG comment segments, so the file reaches the target size and stays a JPG with the same pixels. Other images are saved as PNG with invisible text chunks, and are upscaled only when the target is very large. Noise Injection and Upscale are available when you want them.
Exam, job and government application forms that reject photos or signatures below a minimum size, such as 'at least 20 KB'.
PNG, WebP and HEIC images are saved as PNG. Noise Injection changes pixels slightly and Upscale changes the dimensions, so use them only when the form allows it.
