Resizing a Photo for Your WhatsApp DP, in Your Browser
This preset locks the Social Media Image Resizer to WhatsApp and its display-picture size so you hit the exact dimensions the app expects. Upload a photo, tap the WhatsApp DP preset — a 640×640 square (1:1) — choose a fit mode, and export a JPEG or PNG at exactly those pixels. 640×640 is WhatsApp’s recommended profile-picture size in 2026; it stores the DP at that size and renders it as a circle everywhere in the app. The whole thing runs on an in-browser canvas: the photo is decoded to a local object URL, cropped, downscaled with pica and re-encoded locally — nothing is uploaded, which matters because a DP is usually a personal portrait.
- Locks to WhatsApp’s recommended DP size: 640×640 (1:1 square)
- WhatsApp displays every profile picture as a circle
- Exports JPEG or PNG at exactly 640×640
- 100% client-side — the photo never leaves the browser
