Resizing a Photo for Instagram, in Your Browser
This preset locks the Social Media Image Resizer to Instagram and surfaces Instagram’s real 2026 sizes so you can hit the exact dimensions the app expects. Upload a photo, tap the size you need — portrait 1080×1350 (4:5), square 1080×1080 (1:1), landscape 1080×566 (1.91:1), Story / Reel 1080×1920 (9:16) or the 320×320 circle-cropped profile photo — choose a fit mode, and export a PNG or JPEG at exactly those pixels. Instagram renders feed images at 1080 px wide, so 1080 on the long edge is all the resolution the feed uses; anything larger is just a heavier file. The whole thing runs on an in-browser canvas: the photo is decoded to a local object URL, cropped, downscaled with pica and re-encoded locally — nothing is uploaded.
